Because I Said So...

Today was the day…our girl’s day out! Prepared breakfast for Izz n myself. Rosh already had his and went out for a jog. Get all the kids ready before I ‘prep’ myself. Corinne came at 940am. Let Izz play on the computer and then ‘sneaked’ out of the house. Went to Marion’s house. Freedom! Felt like the movie –Thelma & Louise, except that there were 3 of us and we’re not committing any crime….yet. Hehehe. Arrived at Westfield Woden at 10am. The cinema was not opened yet but people were already lining up outside. Today was the premier for Pirates of the Caribbean 3. Ahh… finally, the door opened. Went right in and bought our tickets. We’re in Cinema 1. There were only 7 of us in the whole cinema. Feels strange going out with us girls only. I kept looking over my shoulder wondering where Izz is. Hey, he’s at home! It has been a long time since I got a chance to go out sans kids. Feels sad yet liberated at the same time. For once I don’t have to think about other people other than myself. Feels good actually, I might get used to this…! Saw some movie trailers. The ones that caught my attention were -Mr Brooks, The Bridge to Terabithia, Evan Almighty and Perfect Stranger. Marion brought chocolates, lots of them! The movie Because I Said So was a ‘chick flick’ and a nice one indeed. I’ve always been a fan of Diane Keaton and the last time I saw her was in Something’s Gotta Give with Jack Nicholson. We had an enjoyable time and Gabriel Macht (Johnny) is a total Honey! I want one! After the movie we went out for lunch at Babar Café’. It was freezing outside so we chose to sit inside. I ordered Linguini Marinara, Corinne ordered a Gnocchi and Marion ordered a Linguini Machiavelli. The food was divine! We talked about what my plans will be when I got home etc. Switched on the phone and saw 3 missed calls. It was Rosh. Called his hp. He called to asked what time should he feed the baby? I said look at the list, everything’s there…hello…!?? I think he was checking up on me. Later we went to the Australian Geographic shop to buy ‘bribes’ for the kids. I got Izz a Grip Ball. Then we proceed to Angus & Robertson bookstore. They were having a sale. Got a few books there (books are my numero uno weakness) so did Marion and Corinne. The offer was too good to let go. We got home around 3pm. The kids are still alive and kicking. It’s a good practice actually because after the divorce is finalized this sort of arrangement will be a routine for us. Geez! I really hate him for doing this to us! Ripping our family apart, making my kids confused etc… damn him to hell and back! But we have to follow him because he said so……
