Don't count the days, make the days count...

Today is the day... he's going off to another overseas trip. This time it's to Indonesia for 10 days. His taxi arrived at 840 am. Guess what...? The oddest thing happened. The taxi driver found his lost set of keys! He saw something shining on the ground near the roundabout at our house; stop, saw the keys, pick it up and went to ask my husband about it. Rosh said I must be blind not to be able to see it when I use the path everyday to send Izz to school. I told him I was too busy monitoring the kids and don't have time to scrutinize everything that is along the way. Grrrr...! Took Izz to school, went home, took the car and went to Hyperdome Tuggeranong to take the camera back. Met Marion at K-Mart. She was by herself... freedom! We talked for a while (told her I'll drop by her house later this afternoon) and then went our separate ways. Pick up Ana and pick up the kids at school. Met Marion at school. She gave me the keys to her house just in case she couldn't make it home on time, because Natalya's school is having an assembly that afternoon. Send Ana and Faris home and went to Marion's house. We let ourselves in and make ourselves at home. Izz watched the CD, Aish was in the playroom and me - on the computer. Marion came back at 230pm. All of us had lunch together... what fun... Marion told me she met Corinne on the way back and about a baby sitter that charged AUD25/hr! I told Marion that's what she has to do - go solo and she can earn more than what she's earning now. Well, we talked for a while and finally Marion caved in and decided to give it a try. We created a flyer advertising her services and Marion asked me to hand it over to Corinne for 'comments'. Gave Natalya the Felicity Wishes magazine and she went over the moon! She was so excited cause she's now in the girly2, pink, fairy and frilly stuff phase... and the magazine is the epitome of girlyness. Kai was excited too but it was short lived because he doesn't want to play with a fairy doll. Craig came back to send home some chopped wood. He's now 'obsessed' with the fireplace and chopping wood. Marion snuck in the computer room with an armful of chopped wood wearing a bulky jacket and an oversized beanie saying "Yani... this is how you'll remember me forever..." Hahaha... she's a sight for sore eyes. Went home at 4pm. Izz went straight to Corinne's house. Went over her house to take Izz home. Gave Corinne the flyer we made just now and she beamed. "Marion agreed to do this?" I told her yes, she will give it a go and see how it goes. Corinne asked me whether I've made any plans during winter. I told her other than the birthday party there's no plan. She told me she wanted to take me to Perisher maybe on a day trip so that me and the kids could experience snow. She also told me she and Marion have made plans to take me and the kids to Bateman's Bay, Telstra Tower, the Parliament House and go on a steam train ride. They wanted to make our last few days here an enjoyable and memorable one. Well, I plan to enjoy it while it last... come hell or high water....
